I was going crazy over some comic-strip archives the past few days and this one from Pearls Before Swine, a strip that's my daily staple, simply stood out: (Pig is Rat's punning mate.) Rat: I saw my cousin Gene today. Pig: Is he the guy that runs marathons? Rat: Yeah, but he's a real jerk ... nobody in my family likes him. Pig: It must be tough to have a bad Gene that runs in the family. P.S: That Superman quote from Bill, at the bottom, simply made my day -- thanks for refreshing my memory...it's five years since my last viewing of Kill Bill 2...time to hunt that DVD down, again! She shopped the story around for it to be made into a movie. When she took it to Warner Bros, the Wachowskis took the story, re-arranged a few elements and made it their own, basically stealing this womans story. The Wachowskis never created that story. They were part of the film's website when the movie came out. There's an interview with Spencer Lamm, a longtime collaborator of the Wachowski brothers, who worked on the comics.
